Inspiring Istanbul

hi you beautiful people. Haven’t been posting in a while because I was so busy studying and working. And okay maybe partying. But I like to share some pictures and posts in here, maybe no one follows it but I don’t care haha. A while ago I went to Istanbul with a friend. We heard such good stories about this city, and wanted to explore. And the stories are true, it is amazing! We did so many awesome things, and it is such a versatile city. For everyone who is in doubt of going; GO EXPLORE. you can see so many beautiful things, the Sultan Mosque, Aya Sophia, Topkapi Palace, the Spice Bazar, the Grand Bazar. The nightlife is booming, and people are crazily friendly. We went there with just the two of us, two girls, and got so many reactions of people.. ” But is that safe?” ” Were the men bothering you?” The answer is no. There wasn’t one moment where we felt like men were bothering us, seemed to be a thought about Istanbul. I thought they were very respectful, and so helpful and friendly. When we got lost somewhere (okay we didn’t actually got lost but were looking for a store my friend just had to go to. Seriously, that girl can shop till she drop and you can take this literally) people where asking other locals everywhere just to help us out. I would love to go back one day, and I hope this is with my mom. She loves art and architecture, which you can find in Istanbul everywhere. So yeah.. this is one picture taken in the Spice Bazar. We ended up there unintentionally, because when we were in the tram on our way to a tower, a storm started. We got out of the tram ( btw , public transport is crazy over there. You just stand there with your nose in someone’s armpit because it is so crowded. Sometimes we used deodorant to put our noses in our own armpits just for the smell haha). But anyway we got out of the tram and ended up at the spice bazar. You have so many spices and so many beautiful picture moments..

Angkor Wat?

Angkor Wat?

I think most people know about angkor wat. Angkor Wat is a tempel, and belongs to Angkor, which is one of the most important archaeological sites in South East Asia. It is REALLY huge, about 400m2. It is really worth a visit, because you can see beautiful architecture, as well as a little history class in religion and art of the Khmer. Apart from the beautiful buildings and art, monks are still living there. They wear bright orange robes, which forms a beautiful contrast with the dark gray of the temples. You can see a grey sky above the temple as well.. after the picture was taken we seriously had to run down from the stairs because there was a HUGH storm coming up. We were stuck in one of the buildings 5 minutes later, in bright-colored rain coats because the lightning was so heavy.. I think the people who lived there are used to it because they were swimming in one of the rivers in front of the temple.. SOS? Anyway, after ten minutes we decided to run to our car and made it alive.. fjuuw.

Petronas twin towers, Kuala Lumpur.

Petronas twin towers, Kuala Lumpur.

Picture is taken at the Petronas towers in Kuala Lumpur. Mennnnnnnn we had a long walk before we got there but it was all worth it. Standing in front of these towers is so impressive. I think I like it best when it is dark outside. The lights of the towers really stand out in the dark sky. Mesmerizing.
